Q: Where are you guys based out of?

A: We were originally based in Palmyra, MO, but because I went off to college we split up parts of the studio. All of the illustrations, orders, and website are taken care of in Kirksville, MO while the woodworking is still being done in Palmyra.

Q: If I ask for a screen even smaller than the small screen, can I get it a lot cheaper?

A: Sadly, no. Our prices are based on how difficult it is to make and how much time is invested. If we go any smaller than our "small size", it will still take just as much time and will most likely be even more difficult to cut out and paint.

Q: How did you come up with the idea to make screens?

A: In highschool, we were assigned to make a folding screen in Design II. I was obsessed with Fruits Basket at the time, and I insisted upon making a screen with the twelve animals of the zodiac. My dad is a woodworker, and I convinced him to make the frame out of wood for me. I posted it online, and it got a really good response from all of the Fruits Basket fans. I made a second one, and it sold as soon as I finished it. That's how I got started taking commissions.

Q: What made you decide to start selling at anime conventions?

A: Someone on my DeviantArt account asked if I sold these at conventions. The thought had never occured to me, but I had been talking to my friends recently about attending Anime St. Louis. I looked into the art tables there, and decided I'd give it a shot. We got a really good response, so we're continuing to go to conventions!

Q: If I purchase one of your illustrations, will I have the rights to print it in publications?

A: Yes, I will allow you to print it. However, I would like you to give me credit whenever you do so.

Q: So you're a college student, right? What is your major? Where do you go to school?

A: I attend Truman State University, and I'm a studio art major AND a visual communications major. (both art!)

Q: OMG I LOVE YOUR ART CAN I GLOMP YOU??

A: Um....uh...sure. O.o

Q: Have you ever tried drawing a manga?

A: Yes, I made one early on in high school that went over pretty well storywise (but the art was horrible!!). I might try to redo it in the future.
