Large toony feline base hinged with elastic printed in PLA+

This listing is for an unfinished DIY plastic resin mask that can be used to create your own large feline mask or costume head. This mask is very lightweight for its size (around 13 oz without ears) and is 3D printed out of strong PLA+. For reference a hinged resin base is typically 1 lb 6 oz!
Glued seams are reinforced with strips on the inside to keep it nice and sturdy.
Sizes:
Across the back: 11.25'' wide 9.5'' tall
Eye socket roughly: 2.5'' tall 3.25'' wide
If you want a custom size please let me know before ordering to make sure I have time to accommodate you. I'm not open to modifying the base, but scaling it up or down usually isn't a problem!
Moving Jaw:
To make sure the moving jaw works while wearing the base add a chin rest, head padding, and straps. When holding the base up to your face the chin rest and head padding should create a snug fit so your head doesn't slide. You can use elastic or velcro straps in a T shape to hold the base securely on your head.
I use elastic cording for moving jaws. This is intentionally tied loosely so you can remove it or tighten it if needed. If you want to make it more permanent you can add glue to the knot or replace it with springs.

Ears:
By default this base has no ears, but you can add them on from the drop down menu. There are registration marks on the base to help you line them up, as well as a curve in between them to create an ear vent. The ears are 3D printed from squishy TPU and take to hot glue super well. They are less flexible than foam ears and have more of a rubbery feel, but they are way more sturdy.

Teeth:
By default this base has no teeth, but you can add them on from the drop down menu. Lower teeth are printed in white ABS, so there will be visible print lines when you look close. However, because it is printed out of ABS it is very strong, easy to sand, and easy to paint. The teeth are attached to a solid plate because the lower jaw is pretty deep, so this gives the tongue a place to be glued to without sinking down. There are no upper teeth and no tongue. Most people prefer to make minky or fleece tongues for the toony bases.
