Realistic domestic house cat feline base hinged with elastic printed in PLA+

This listing is for an unfinished DIY plastic resin mask that can be used to create your own realistic cat mask or costume head. This mask is very lightweight for its size (around 11 oz without ears) and is 3D printed out of strong PLA+. For reference a hinged resin base is typically 1 lb 6 oz!
Glued seams are reinforced with strips on the inside to keep it nice and sturdy.

If you want a custom size please let me know before ordering to make sure I have time to accommodate you. I'm not open to modifying the base, but scaling it up or down usually isn't a problem!
Moving Jaw:
To make sure the moving jaw works while wearing the base add a chin rest, head padding, and straps. When holding the base up to your face the chin rest and head padding should create a snug fit so your head doesn't slide. You can use elastic or velcro straps in a T shape to hold the base securely on your head.I use elastic cording for moving jaws. This is intentionally tied loosely so you can remove it or tighten it if needed. If you want to make it more permanent you can add glue to the knot or replace it with springs.
Ears:
By default this base has no ears, but you can add them on from the drop down menu. There are registration marks on the base to help you line them up, as well as a curve in between them to create an ear vent. The ears are 3D printed from soft foaming TPU and take to hot glue super well. The feel is similar to EVA foam. If you order ears and want me to glue them on let me know in the message field at checkout.
Jaw Set:
By default this base has no teeth, but you can add them on from the drop down menu. These are printed in white HT-PLA (and on rare occasion ABS), so there will be visible print lines when you look close. However, because it is printed out of HT-PLA it is very strong, easy to sand, and easy to paint. The teeth are attached to a solid plate because the jaw is pretty deep, so this gives the tongue a place to be glued to without sinking down. The tongue is cast in silicone and can be made in any solid color. If you don't mention a tongue color at checkout it will be cast baby pink by default.
Custom Eyes:
By default this base has no eyes, but you can add them on from the drop down menu. I am tentatively offering these and may pull them if they become more trouble than they're worth to make. If you really want a set I'd order sooner rather than later!
When ordering eyes you may choose the iris color, whether it has a white sclera or not, and if you want a round or slit pupil. I am NOT offering more complex designs, gradients, different shapes or textures, etc. It is nearly impossible to make a profit with custom eyes because people can quickly get picky about the color, size or shape of the pupil, etc. Do not order these if you're particular or have a very specific design in mind.
